Hi, I am a postdoctoral research assistant in the group on Autonomous Intelligent Systems headed by Prof. Dr. Wolfram Burgard. My research interests include robot motion planning, 3D reconstruction, and machine learning. I am a member of the DFG-funded interdisciplinary Transregional Collaborative Research Center SFB/TR8 Spatial Cognition. After studying at the University of Freiburg and the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, I received a diploma in computer science (Dipl.-Inf.) in spring 2007 and a PhD in April 2013 from the University of Freiburg. My PhD thesis was about robot navigation in environments with deformable objects. In this context, we were interested in the autonomous acquisition of 3D models including deformation parameters, physical simulation of object deformations, and efficient planning and navigation techniques.
