About Me

I am a lecturer (Akademischer Rat) in the Autonomous Intelligent System Laboratory at the Department of Computer Science of the Albert-Ludwig University in Freiburg since 2013. Before that I was working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the same laboratory.

In my research, I focus on theoretical and practical aspects of autonomous navigation for mobile robots. My main research area is probabilistic state estimation for localization and mapping in combination with motion planning and execution. I am also interested in machine learning and computer vision, as well as in autonomous cars, learning from demonstration and scene analysis.
