Local Arrangements

Freiburg is the capital of the Black Forest and is situated in the south-west of Germany, close to the border with Switzerland and France. It is easily reachable from major airports such as Frankfurt (Germany, 2 hours by train), Basel (Switzerland, 1 hour by shuttle) and Strasbourg (France, 1 hour by car).

The conference will be held at the KG I and KG II buildings of the Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg. The two buildings are part of "Universitätszentrum (Geisteswissenschaft)", the "faculties in the centre". On the map linked by "Getting around Campus" from How to get to Freiburg they are colored red. The centre of Freiburg and the campus of the university are within walking distance from the main station. Follow the street "Eisenbahnstrasse". If you prefer to go by tram, please take line 1/2/3 towards "Bertoldsbrunnen". Then, get out at stop "Stadttheater/Universitätszentrum".
