Dagstuhl provides an ideal setting for communication among scientists. Therefore, this meeting is not a workshop with the usual programme of sessions and presentation, but leaves plenty of opportunities to talk to each other. The meeting will consist of survey talks, personal short presentations, working group sessions, and some special events ...
These 45 minutes invited talks will start our working days on monday through friday exept wednesday to give a general overview about search problems and solutions in a specific field.
During the late morning sessions on monday, tuesday, and thursday, each participant is invited to give a short 10 minute presentation about her/his work. We schedule these presentations in alphabetical order, starting with "B" on monday morning after the invited survey talk and end with "Y" on thursday before lunch. More information can be found here .
The afternoon sessions are devoted to working groups. We offer four topics and invite each participant to join one of the working groups. On monday, the working groups should form and find 3 critical issues they want to address. We will probably give them a question of the day to get started.
On Wednesday afternoon we will visit the historic town of Trier with several over 2000 years old buildings dating back to the Roman Empire. More information will be provided in October.
Dagstuhl provides very good computing facilities. If you would like to give a system demo, please contact us. People usually spend evenings in the vine cellar or the music room. Often these gatherings lead to very inspiring and intense discussions. If you would like to put a particular topic on the agenda, please let us know.
