Application
Please fill in the application form and print it or use the online application. After that you send the form and the following documents by post:
- Officially authenticated and translated (German, English or French) documents showing marks obtained during the bachelor's programme (in case the bachelor's programme has not been completed yet, a preliminary transcript is accepted)
- Officially authenticated degree certificate (if not completed yet, the degree may be submitted later)
- A TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge Certificate (compulsory for all non-native speakers)
- Evidence of your German proficiency (400 hours of German language course)
- Official certificate(s) of the GRE-Test(s) (recommended, not compulsory)
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement explaining your interest in the master programme
- At least one letter of reference from one of your former professors to be sent in a separate envelope, signed and stamped by the university
- APS (for Chinese and Vietnamese applicants only)
Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed. Please instruct ETS (or the British Council) to send GRE and TOEFL (or IELTS) scores directly to the MCS office (Institutional code with ETS: 7125, department code: 78 for TOEFL, 0402 for GRE). If you don't use the above form for the letters of reference, they shall be written on university letterhead and sent in separate envelopes, signed and stamped by the university.
Application deadline
- For admission to the Fall term (October): June 1 (early notification), July 1 (regular admission deadline)
- For admission to the Spring term (April): January 1
