The Institute for Microsystem Technology
(IMTEK) in the Faculty for Applied Sciences at the University of Freiburg,
Germany, is one of the largest European academic research departments active
in the fields of microsystem technology and MEMS. Eighteen faculty members,
supported by an infrastructure including a 6” silicon fabrication facility
and extensive laboratory resources, are engaged in all areas of microsystems
research. The IMTEK is seeking to fill the position of a
Full Professor of Process Technology
The successful candidate will be expected
to establish a comprehensive research and teaching program in the area
of process technology, ranging from precision machining to microsystem
technology. An active collaboration with colleagues in neighboring fields,
especially computer science and life sciences, is expected.
